Booked a taxi yesterday to attend a wedding on Saturday. Quoted 52 for a 10 minute drive. Cancelled today less than 24 hours later (prior to receiving confirmation of my booking) as another taxi company quoted 11 for the same journey. The company refused to refund me and offered only 5 or a credit note (however I do not live in Wales to use this service). I then went to raise a complaint with the company/request for my taxi to be reinstated and the person on the telephone hung up the phone. When I tried to phone back, they dodged the call and it asked me to leave a voicemail. Update: My partner has just phoned back, the company will not even reinstate the booking. The options were a 5 refund, a credit note or paying another 52 for the taxi (however we could not use the credit note for new taxi). The company suggested we pay another 52 for the taxi and then will offer us a credit note tomorrow. This is the worst taxi company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with #daylightrobbery. Please do not try to use this service as it is a scam.
