We arrived 10 minutes before our booking as it was quiet. We were left standing at the door for 10-15 minutes waiting whilst the only 2 visible members of staff served at the bar. A queue of people forming behind us. We then had to wait another 10 minutes at the bar to order our food. We were advised that there would be a 40-45 min wait for food - once wed already ordered. The place was no where near full to cause this wait. After a 50+ minute wait, food came out tepid, incomplete and over cooked/over heated. The staff were nice enough apart from the attitude from the male server. There is a slim to no chance of us returning or giving a positive recommendation based on this visit

Abysmal! We had to wait 10 minutes at the door before being shown to our booked table. It looked as if there was one person trying to serve a dozen people at the bar and he was trying to do all jobs. We then queued for another 10 minutes to order our food and drink. The lady told us thered be a 45 minute wait. That was bad enough.. it turned out to be an hour. Not good when theres a 4 year old in tow and a diabetic in need of food. My steak was ok, but chewy and the chips only just warm. The wifes steak and ale pie should have come with a pneumatic drill and a health warning. The pie crust was so hard it was inedible and luke warm whilst the filling was ok(ish). The mixed grill that our granddaughter ordered came without its fried egg, and the 4 year olds chicken nuggets and chips, Well we wont go there. We kept smiling rather than complain because none of us wanted to wait another hour. Needless to say we didnt order a sweet, in case it was closing time before it arrived. Will we go back again? Not until hell freezes over.
