The Old Mill - Holiday Cottage

No review can ever prepare you for just how wonderful this cottage is. From the incredible location overlooking the Menai Straits, to the incredible standard to which the property is finished. The main living area is huge, and easily accommodates 6 people comfortably. The bedrooms are a decent size and the beeds themselves are very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped, and there is no shortage of cooking equipment, utensils or crockery. Both the family bathroom and en suite are lovely, with excellent showers. The Old Mill is just a few minutes stroll from the small town centre with a range of cafes and restaurants, and within very easy driving distance of lots of attractions. There is one thing to note if you have walking or other mobility difficulties. The entire property is across 3 floors, with the rental cottage being on the upper two floors. This means an outside staircase is used to access the property. Once inside, there is both a double and single bedroom, and the family bathroom, on the same level as the entrance, but the staircase entrance may be something to consider. Overall, this is a lovely place to spend just a short break or even a week or two. We will definitely be returning.

Had a fabulous week here with friends. Lovely views over Menai Straits and the variety of birds visiting daily was good, including a resident swan family. Inside was spotlessly clean and well decorated. Kitchen extremely well stocked including suitable tableware for use on the balcony. Bedrooms very comfortable, bathrooms perfect. Lots of little extras.....sherry, chocolate, candles, shower gels etc. 5 minutes walk to shops and restaurants. Highly recommend this 2 storey place.
