Maen Hir Guest House

I originally posted my review at the time of my visit but for some reason not all my reviews were visible on maps, as the issues with my account have been resolved I am reposting the missing reviews. Maen Hir Guest House - Sunday 20th November 2022 - 17:55 Update: Sunday 4th December We realised that wed left a charger behind, we spoke with our hosts who offered to post it to us. It arrived the other day with a hand written note, asking if we and our car had settled into our new home. I offered to pay for postage but they dont want anything. Original Post: Sunday 20th November 2022 - 17:55 I made my booking but later I had to change it by a day and then again as my partner was now travelling with me. This wasnt a problem for our host. I mentioned I had to leave the next morning by 07:00 to collect my cat from the cattery and then drive to Holyhead for the ferry, I was expecting them to say I would miss breakfast but instead we were offered an early breakfast from 06:00. Most places have set times for breakfast and dont alter them. The post code on my SatNav didnt bring me to the location so I pulled up outside a Mazda Showroom and called them, turns out they are situated just behind the showroom. You might like to use the What 3 Words app as it easier to locate them; the three words below will bring you to the front door. MOVIE.HOTELS.CUSTODIAN Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We were shown to a big room with a double and two single beds, comfy beds with nice pillows. In the room was a nice big TV with Sky, including movies and sports. Our room had its own BT hub for internet and the speed was great. There is a kettle with tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate but no fridge but we were given a cold bag with water and milk so a fridge wasnt needed. Bathroom is big with a nice walk in shower but most of all it was spotlessly clean. If you want to pop out there is a side entrance so you can use to come and go. Breakfast Nice table layout. Selection of cereals. Tea was served in a pot and I had my own cafeteria of coffee, drunk from china cups and saucers. Full English breakfast was cooked fresh and the beans are served in a separate dish. Nice thick, tasty bacon. I had a really great sleep, i had a lovely breakfast; I feel refreshed and Im ready for the ferry and 2hr drive at the other end. Previously when we have travelled from Holyhead on the early morning ferry we always stay at a chain hotel the night before but after finding this little gem we will stay here in future.

Rooms: We had a nice big room with comfortable beds, a nice sized tv, an ensuiite toilet with shower, and an electric fireplace Food & drinks: They serve an excellent breakfast made to order.
