        Got amazingly close to the puffins. The blue bells were nothing like I had seen before out in the open. Great views all around.

        It was such a lush experience being here - it's a very special place, globally. Puffin populations are declining globally, but increasing on Skomer!! It's incredible to see them so close, I am 110% going back to see them at another point during their breeding season, when they're feeding the chicks. I was lucky enough to see some puffins greet each other after months apart (they pair for life) and see some gathering nest materials, it's a truly special place. It really is.
