A really beautiful little spot, hidden away from the main track. There is a car park and information board to show you the way to the waterfall. The walk to the fall is between 10-15 minutes. There is a bit of uphill/downhill walking but it is not strenuous (I am not very fit and have ankle problems and managed the walk just fine) There's a bench once you get to the bottom and the views all around are stunning. We saw lots of birds and a few squirrels here and there. The water is shallow and clear and perfect for a paddle if you're feeling adventurous

If you want to venture into another world then you need go no further than Ffynone woods. Ancient woodland and a stunning waterfall - according to Welsh folklore in the Mabinogion it is a gateway to the Otherworld. Be prepared to get your feet wet when crossing the stream before exploring the woodland beyond. Look out for the tank bridge - from the days when tanks were tested here.
