The Potting Shed

We called in for lunch on Monday this week and were disappointed with the service and treatment we received. Along with drinks we ordered and paid for beetroot tart and a portion of chips. Our drinks arrived and about 10-15 minutes later a waitress came to us and said just to inform you we have no beetroot tart and did we want quiche instead There was no apology and we felt that that it should have been known when we placed our order that there was no tart. We did not fancy the quiche and decided to have a sandwich with the chips instead. Before we left my wife checked the menu again and noticed that not only was the sandwich 1 cheaper than the tart but if we had ordered the sandwich in the first place we could have had the chips for 2 instead of the 3 we paid. We had not been offered any refund and my wife went to the counter to point this out and mentioned that nobody had apologised. The same waitress simply said she had apologised and no refund was offered. We have been to the Potting Shed before and enjoyed the experience but not this time. Andrew Mason
