I needed somewhere for mine/my partners two ponies to stay whilst I went away for a while on a work course. I was looking for ages until I came across this beautiful yard. Laura/Gabby/Cheryl are so lovely and welcoming and the yard has the loveliest vibe. I knew instantly they absolutely had to go there! I get updates all the time from them which makes me so happy and the boys are so relaxed and chilled out. They are extremely well looked after, living the life of luxury. I couldnt ask for anywhere better for them to go and have a holiday! Thank you so much xx

My eventer oz came to channel view for a long holiday during Covid while eventing was shut down. Gabby, Laura & Cheryl provided the best care I could ask for. Hes never looked so well through a winter. As well as being brilliant care givers to oz, they were a brilliant support to me whilst going through a tricky new phase in my life! I never had to worry about oz as they proved they gave the highest level of care. Will 100% be returning oz to them for his yearly holidays.

I came across Channel View Equine Retreat after searching for over a year for a suitable retirement home for my 19 year old thoroughbred mare. The farm is in a beautiful setting with plenty of grazing and large light stables, immaculately kept. Gabrielle, Cheryl and Laura are extremely professional, knowledgeable and kind, caring for the individual needs of each horse, taking the time to get to know each one and giving them lots of love and attention. I have regular updates on how my horse is doing, discussions about her care, routine and feed. I am welcome to visit any time and I am involved in making any healthcare decisions. I have total peace of mind knowing that my horse is being loved and cared for and I would definitely recommend.

I met Gabrielle and Laura recently to discuss horse retirement livery and was very impressed with the Channel View retreat. Both ladies were clearly passionate about horses and their care in retirement. The organisation and facilities at Channel view looked to be very good indeed, Great stabling, 400 acres of roaming land, hay made on site and some very relaxed looking 4-legged residents. All in all, a very attractive option and I was certainly persuaded. Early days but my initial instincts look to have been proved right - very happy horses in residence. Highly Recommended!

I urgently needed to relocate my eleven year old homebred gelding who due to certain congenital problems was unbroken and had never left his place of birth. After searching the internet I found Channel View Equine Retreat and made an appointment to visit. It was all I could have wanted .A beautiful setting , top of the range extra large indoor boxes and excellent all year round turnout. The ladies that run it are extremely knowledgable and tailor their care to each individual horse. Being an experienced horse owner my self I couldnt be happier with the level of care offered , almost immediately my horse had settled into his individually designed routine and was happy and showing no signs of stress at all. I couldnt recommend Gabby and her team highly enough . If you are looking for a retirement home for your horse go and see them you wont be disappointed . Sue Hookham
