What an amazing experience. We were met by Alan for a hour and a half session. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced with birds. They have a fantastic selection of birds in top condition. As a family of 4 and the kids aged 11/13, we throughly enjoyed our experience. Merlin and Ant went down well with the kids. Jack was an incredible bird and the cuckoburrow was very different and fascinating. 10 out of 10 on a very memorable 1st experience with birds of pray and the memories will be long lived.

Friendly and knowledgeable. Had own personal tour of the bird aviaries in Picton Castle (without any other people, as waiting for zoo license) and got the chance to interact with 3 different birds of prey. Birds were well trained and majestic. It was amazing to see them up close and handle them. Would definately do it again ! Thanks

My family and I had a wonderful experience at West Wales Falconry. Alan introduced us to a wide array of birds, telling us about their life stories, unique personalities and the different ways he trains them. It was apparent to us from the beginning that these birds are a part of Alan's family and the love he has for them was obvious in the way he talked about them. After introductions, we were given the opportunity to work with the birds one on one. It was so much fun and also very educational. My children (ages 7-13) were fully engaged the whole time. Alan was very patient with my kids, especially my youngest who was a bit hesitant with some of the bigger birds. Coming from America, where this experience does not exist, my family left feeling like we were allowed a glimpse in to a very special world. Our time at West Wales Falconry will stay with us always. Thank you Alan!
