Ruth Emilys shoes, boots and shandals were recommended to me by my Pilates teacher a few years ago, since when Ive bought shandals and boots, benefitting from Ruth Emilys helpfulness in choosing and fitting at a distance. Now after a thoroughly enjoyable visit to her shop I also own shoes: Ruth Emilys skill, experience and patient helpfulness was outstanding in the matter of choice and in discussion of repair, refurbishment and adaptation required after wearing only her boots and shandals for several years. The creations are not only beautiful and comforting through the design in all its details, and through the outstanding leather also the message of longstanding comfort and usefulness: the design and proper fit means for me, greatly increased stability which together with never before experienced comfort for my feet, results in a significant improvement in confidence and wellbeing.

I have been wearing a pair of Ruth's shandals for a little over a year. The first week of owning them I had a little rubbing above my little toes, but after that they were like a second skin. The butteriest soft (yet sturdy) leather, that both protects and lets me feet breath and feel as good as walking barefoot. The most comfortable pair of footwear I have ever worn. Then I went in Ruth's shop for the second time (a couple of months ago) and was instantly taken with a little pair of booties to just cover those couple of winter months where it's just a bit too cold for shandals. They have been a dream too. Again the thick, leather just needed a couple of weeks to bed in, then they moulded to my feet and are just the comfiest. I have worn both my shandals and boots hill walking, to work, out and about and I get complimented on them all the time. Highly recommend both the footwear and the service!
