The hotel needs a little TLC, the food and staff were amazing. They also have dog friendly rooms. As your in South Snowdonia there is lots of nice walking. The Centre for Alternative Technology is just a 3 mile away, and you can take a lovely train ride to Barmouth along some beautifully scenic coast line for just 11 reutn. Would recommend.

Nearby activities: Machynlleth is a nice town to wander around. There are bookshops, antique shops and good lunch options. I visited Aberdyfi which is not far at all. The car journey along the estuary is beautiful. Theres also a coastal train that I meant to take but ran out of time. I also visited the RSPB reserve at Ynys-Hir just a few miles away. Its well worth a visit. Food & drinks: I had breakfast and evening meal at the hotel as part of the deal. All of it was absolutely beautiful. All of the food I ate at the hotel and elsewhere was of really good quality. I liked the hotel food so much I also had Sunday lunch there. The rare roast beef didnt disappoint.
