Stayed for a week in April 2023. I initially found the site on Google Maps while looking for somewhere to stay near the Bala Lake Railway. This site is perfect for that since it is literally next door to the railway. The site itself is great. While I was on a hard standing pitch with electric, the other non-electric grass pitches were further down the site in a very picturesque location next to the river. The facilities block was great, too. I also appreciated that the pricing structure was very reasonable, which makes a pleasant change with far too many other sites charging rip off prices. Top marks all round. Dunno why others were dissatisfied with their reception. This certainly was not my experience and I found the owners to be nice, friendly people. The local pub, Yr Eagles (10 minute walk from the site) does really good food.
