Were staying in the area for the week and we came here has this place was recommended to us and oh my were so glad we did! First of all, the staff are extremely friendly and attentive considering how busy it was and the mains arrived very quickly after ordering, the food here is amazing too with very generous portions. The decor and atmosphere inside the pub is really great, it is a local pub but its very friendly, we had puddings and cocktails too which were so tasty. If youre ever staying in the area I highly highly recommend you try this place out (I would book ahead as this pub was absolutely packed) I cannot fault anything at all, really amazing.

We had a really enjoyable evening. There's a very long menu with classic and local dishes. The local cask beers are are excellent and the wines are very good though the list is small. The lovely waiting in staff appreciated our attempts to order in Welsh. Definitely worth visiting.

Were here last night. Woman that served us was pleasant enough. I thought the food was a bit pricey, especially considering the quality was only ok. I had burger and chips. Burger tasty but small, the blue cheese and salami extras were minimal. Chips portion ok. Salad very disappointing, very limp, lacking much more than lettuce and drowning in a dressing not especially nice. Korma was plentiful in chicken but very bland and watery. Again, for the price paid you expect more. Even the San Miguel tasted watered down, definitely had better pints. Also had my card taken off me and put behind the bar so I could keep a tab open?! Never seen that before!? Didnt feel comfortable that my bank card was not in my possession. Overall nice interior but only ok food. If you are going to charge 14-15 per dinner then up the quality. Wouldnt rush back sorry.
