Wonderful beach. Walked along the river path to the beach, turned the corner and there was a stunning vivid rainbow right in front of us. The beach itself is beautiful, pebbles and sand. Clean and tidy, lots of dogs playing together. It was a great day out. Highly recommend it.

The directions that Google give is wrong! You will end up on a farm! Don't go up the sharp right hand turn! Follow the road down the hill, go over a stone bridge and park immediate right. Look for Cai Bach Road on the map. Or search Llanina Wood Parking .

So glad we found this gem of a beach! Beautiful sandy beach (some rocky areas towards the top of the beach, but still plenty of sand for a good castle!) Crystal clear water, perfect for swimming or paddle boarding. Dog friendly too, which is a bonus! We parked near the Llanina woodland parking, along the road side as the car park was very busy. There is a short walk through the woods before you get to the beach (5 -10 mins max). At low tide you can walk all the way round to New Quay. We drove 6 mins down the road to New Quay beach instead of the walk as the tide was coming in.
