For our 50th Wedding Anniversary, we could have gone somewhere exotic or to a fancy hotel, instead we hired Country Fair's Country Fair barge on the Brecon Monmouthshire canal for a week. What a brilliant decision, definitely the one of our best holidays. The scenery is stunning and some great mooring stops alongside pubs on the way, we particularly enjoyed the Royal Oak in Pencelli. We've never done this before and I was a little concerned about managing the locks because my wife isn't well. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at Country Craft, we had a thorough briefing and they helped us through the locks. There are also numerous volunteers with the Canal Trust and are ready and willing to help you negotiate the locks if needed. The boat was spotless and had all the facilities we needed for the week of cruising. We would definitely recommend Country Craft and looking forward to returning again next year. When working on the lock you represent it and dare I say wales for tourists. The main man here was rude to us, embarrassing in front of your own guest and generally unhelpful regarding using the lock. Gwen will not make you an omelette. Nessa is appalled and Stacey just wants to go back to Barry island.

We just spent a week on the beautiful Country Lass from Country Craft Narrowboats. AMAZING!! The boat was very clean & had virtually everything you needed for a cruise along the Brecon Canal. A small, friendly family business. Full of knowledge and more than happy to help. We would HIGHLY recommend this great holiday company to everyone. Thank you so much guys, still smiling from the fabulous time we had.and the views, thru forests and over rivers.
