Excellent location based close to amazing forest walks and places to sightsee. Llanidloes is also great to wander round, in particular the bookshop may be one of my favourites ever. Can recommend the hardstanding pitches for the privacy were you can camp in the woods with your own hammock and firepit. Personal service as well which makes you feel right at home.

Just what the Dr ordered this site is in a beautiful part of the world and we had such a relaxing long weekend in glorious surroundings. We visited as two families and from start to finish, Maria was the perfect host. The compost loos are handy at the corner of the field and Maria came by each day with fresh ice packs to keep the essentials cool, then again later on with firewood to buy for the handy on pitch fire pit. We were very lazy and didnt explore the area, just a few trips down to the river at the end of the campsite which was a great place to hang out for a few hours to escape the sun. We think this unspoilt and quiet site is absolutely spot on and were already looking at dates to return. Thanks Maria and boys for being awesome! X

Lovely campsite, beautiful surroundings I would highly recommend this site to true campers. it's back to proper traditional camping with huge pitches and space between so you can really relax and not have to listen to your neighbours snore all night. Perfect for watching the stars as well as no light pollution. My only warning is although there is a separate allocated toilet for each pitch it is a composting toilet at the bottom of the meadow so if you're an all mod cons camper take note.

We stayed in one of the belle tents for three nights during the school summer holidays and absolutely loved it Everything you could possibly need or want for your stay was there and more! Maria the owner (who is epic) welcomed us and showed us the belle tent along with her two sons who are very helpful, clearly runs in the family! Nothing was too much trouble, always there when you needed them, always had amazing advice and local knowledge. The site itself is beautiful and really well looked after, my children loved the walk down to the river which was stunning. I especially loved the outside hot bath which had the most amazing views, just made the experience a wee bit more special. We will definitely be returning, loved it!
