We have spent years trying to find a campsite like this! Quiet, clean, friendly, safe. A special place. The owners cannot do enough for you and have a wealth of local knowledge. Its so lovely that all of the children from the (very few!) pitches can run around and play together safely and can even get involved with feeding the sheep. All of the facilities are brilliant-clean, well maintained and well thought out. I especially liked that the owners have left a small meadow for the children to play in rather than expand and have more pitches. The pizza night is a fantastic touch and a nice way to bring everyone together in a communal space. As a family there are no negative points we can think of. We will definitely be back!

The most perfect place for a peaceful time. As leading busy lives in Birmingham with my partner all we wanted to celebrate my 30th was peace and quite and we found a corner of heaven here. Suzi and Joe and the most welcoming hosts. We had planned to explore the walks near by but after arriving we knew we would spend every minute soaking up the idealism of what Idris had to offer! A fantastic little campsite that's big on facilities. Each large pitch has its own fire pit and seating, a shelf in a communal fridge, access to the communal freezer and is allocated its own toilet. There's a covered washing up facility and the showers were lovely and hot. It's wonderfully peaceful with incredible views and there are plenty of walks from the campsite. Llanidloes is less than an hour's walk away if you want to head into town and don't want to drive and the owners have left lots of information on what to do and see in the surrounding area. You couldn't ask for better, we'll definitely be back.
