        Very nice pub with a good selection of drinks. Very nice food and very good service. A very friendly venue that I would definitely recommend.

        Lovely landlord, great curry, lasagne & rum collection! Also delicious desserts, sticky toffee pudding & crumble were 10/10

        Recently refurbished this country pub is now brighter and more welcoming for the non-local (some of these older pubs might seem charming but have a distinct "you're not local" atmosphere). That's not true here: friendly staff, good beer and while some might find it a bit quiet - it is a country pub after all - that's surely better than having to take a megaphone with you to hold a conversation. Sunday lunch is excellent: ingredients locally sourced, made to order and plenty of it. Bring a healthy appetite if you're thinking of more than 2 courses. Very very good value for money and absolutely delicious. Best sunday lunch I've had in a long time.
