Nicely situated above the Shropshire Union canal. Made welcome by the younger staff. Seated in the window in the bar which was like a glasshouse with no blinds on the windows and when I asked if the window could be opened to let in some air, was curtly told by the ?manager that there was not much could be done. However, they did find a key to open the lock and this alleviated the glare of the sun a little. Food was plentiful and of a good standard. Dog was made very welcome. The staff who served the food were friendly and so for this reason I gave 4 stars.

It is very welcoming and very dog friendly. The owner sat and had a good chat with us and even provided a raw meal for our dog, which we always struggle to find Both our meals were also very good- Steak and ale pie and sweet chillie chicken. Definitely recommend it, and hopefully, we will visit again

Simply, faultless. Really friendly and helpful staff, brilliant with allergies/intolerances. Big tasty portion sizes at very reasonable prices. Both inside and outside seating available with fantastic views.
