        Lovely welcoming pub, despite the fact we put their afternoon in disarray when they were trying to set up for a function. Cute surroundings with excellent food

        Having been walking most of the day (a fair amount through claggy mud!) We were pleased that The Stag were able to find us a table for two. A good choice on the menu, don't think we had ever seen such enormous plates! Lovely food & the puddings looked lovely but we knew we had a long drive back home so resisted the temptation.

        Called for a family meal whilst having a few days away nearby. Booked a table and from start to finish the service and staff were excellent. Food was of the highest quality and certainly didn't lack quantity and superbly cooked and presented.wish it was local to me.
