Lovely place to visit where there is an abundance of wildlife, plus I was fortunate to see the Red Squirrels scampering about. I have on concrn about the wooden walkway which is showing signs of its age with missing or rotting foot boards which are a potential hazard to walkers tripping or worse going through the the rotting boards

For a walk, straight from the town centre, you can't get better than this. There's a lovely boardwalk to explore in a small and compact area, with the old railway running through it. If you want to make a longer walk you can carry on along the paths into open countryside where the reservoir is.
