We drove up here in a LWB Ford Transit campervan. Not the most straightforward car park we've ever driven to but the signs stating 'no passing places for...' were over the top and scaremongering. There were passing places. Perfectly do-able, just be prepared to reverse if needed. Could get busy on a sunny holiday which could block up the lanes a bit but choose a sensible time (dont go up when the crowds might all be leaving) and it is fine.

Plenty of fresh air, at high speed.

Beautiful spot, amazing views, and a great starting point for walking up the Sugar Loaf. As you approach this car park, you pass a sort of overspill car park. I suggest ignoring it till you check that this proper one really is full. (If it is, its easy to turn around and go back.) Others have mentioned how tricky the single lane road is and theyre not wrong; we got stuck leaving after midday on a bank holiday Monday - but the bad part is only between the vineyard and the main road. Everything higher than the vineyard entrance is just standard country lane with a good few passing places. With a 5-year-old (walking, slowly) the walk to the summit from the car park was a tidy 70mins. Amazing 360 degree upland views from the top. You can do it in trainers but would recommend sturdier footwear. A family friendly adventure.
