Beautiful and relaxing garden - we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Had a cream tea with home made scones, delicious jam and clotted cream. The majority of the garden is quite steeply sloping so difficult for anyone with mobility issues but well worth the effort if you can manage it. Free entry for RHS members. Recommended!

I was hoping to find an interesting garden, with some uniqueness about it. What I found was that, but bigger and more varied (and a lot steeper under foot) than I expected. Really friendly staff, a nice pot of tea, and even the chance to buy some interesting plants if you like. The story behind how the place was made is as fascinating as it is endearing. My top recommendation of places to go in the area.
