2nd year visiting Chris and the team.ompleat It's a service you don't get anywhere else! We wanted space to ourselves and got a 2 acre field (complete with dog walkers and horse poo) perfect! Exactly what we wanted. Don't expect 5*, it's a field. Clean toilets and showers, good water, fire pits, WiFi and kitchen with fridge and freezers. Will be back Kev and Roo

Good facilities - Ice machine, multiple microwaves, kettles etc. Shop well stocked too. Showers not great, tended to alternate between and cold, but OK at quiet times. Staff very helpful - even helping out a fellow camper who had car issues. Only real issue was noise. This is not a "no noise after 10pm" site so bear that in mind.

What a loverly place with even better owners., Aug 2022. Cheap to book with short notice. Emailed ahead of arrival to check a few things the lady there couldn't of been more helpfull, they accommodated us with 2 young bostoroius boys, a vocal baby, 2 grand parents, a dog and a van! They gave us extra bedding on 2nd night because we mentioned the cold chill at night. 2nd night sleep was very warm and peaceful. The shop is soo well stocked with everything (apart from alcohol) plenty local stores to get extra drinks ;-) we even setup a tab so grabbed what we needed as we needed it without trying to find the change, cleared tab using debit card. Fire bins are free as long as you burn there logs. 5 odd per big bag of logs we found one bag per night is enough to use for cooking and heat. Owners were very cuturtious of our sleeping baby asking other louder kids to keep noise done in are area, thank you ! The kitchen and dinning area is very large indeed and holds everything you might need including tea and coffee, mugs plates etc Cutlery. Freezers, fridges, Air fryers , kettles , pizza oven the works. Games, books and more. Also there is a TV on the wall with a sofa or two. Being campers we tried not to rely on the kitchen but we did use the microwave to heat the baby milk which was a god send early hours. Kitchen and toilets are open 24 hours. The toilet was a matter of expectations I'd read other reviews and was expecting alot worse but Infact they were much better than I'd read. 2 toilets, 2 fully electric showers and 3 sinks for the gents. I was told ladies had a baby change station also. The ladies in the group both said the ladies bathroom needed a bit of tlc but perhaps there fussier than us men yes the walls are painted breeze blocks , but there toilet roll holder was over flowing. Yes the ceiling joints are visible and cables can be seen up there but you know what it was cheap and the facilities worked. What more do you really need, if u want glits and glam book at the hilton ;-). We camped for 2 nights and was issued a xl large pitch close to the kitchen area for the baby's sake again consideration from the owners, pitch had with the electric hook up for a small fee, and the site we used charged a small for fornthe dog, No issues with electric supply although we tried not to rely on it for much apart from a mini fridge and phones etc. Countless water stations for clean drinkable water all over the place, recycling station with bags providing on arrival. They gave us a quick tour and said hello in the morning in passing other than that we thanked them whole heartedly for the excellent hospitality before we departed at 12.30pm. Thanks all for a loverly weekend.
