Another fabulously relaxing weekend spent at West Wales Retreat. A wonderful place to rest, unwind and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The cottage with its living room upstairs, allows you to enjoy the views over the valley and you can watch the Red Kites flying over. The refurbished cottage has all you need to relax, a modern kitchen, dining room with patio doors look over the valley, a luxury walk in shower, king size bed and a seating area upstairs for relaxing, reading or watching tv. We when to Aberaeron less than 10 minutes away, where we enjoyed a walk and then a hot chocolate and ice cream in The Hive.

Recent relaxed holiday at this delightfully appointed cottage. Solitude & serenity in the extreme. However a short drive to the local pub serves very acceptable 'pub grub' A local supermarket is also nearby. 6 miles east takes you to Lampeter, a University of Wales town. Same distance to the west takes you to the delightful harbour town of Aberaeron. Fish @ chips to die for. Situated high up & surrounded by neighbouring small farms so plenty of sheep, red kites and beautiful views for miles almost building free. Cottage provides everything anyone could wish for whether 'self catering' or 'buying out'. Luxurious bathroom and kitchen. Upstairs huge lounge is comfortable, very well appointed & gives uninterrupted views across the valley - not a road in sight! Outside paved patio area to appreciate the tranquility leads off dining room. Highly commended. Bruce & Maureen Holloway

Loved the peace and quiet of Bwthyn Gilfach. Yet only a 1 minute drive to Felin-Fach and the fab Vale of Aeron. Have used the cottage as a base for walking and visiting friends in Aberaeron over the Christmas period. We were blessed with good weather but can imagine that Bwthyn Gilfach will be wonderful on a cold day too. We loved being able to cook for ourselves in the well equipped kitchen. Loved sitting in the lounge overlooking the valley and the sheep. So peaceful. MANY thanks to Neil for being a wonderful host and pointing is to places we would never have thought of (ie the Vale). Will definitely come back if you will have us! John
