5 stars for Steve, Keith, and the bikes! We had a fantastic time on the trails at Coed y Brenin, and Keith was a brilliant teacher and guide. Hopefully see you again soon!

We were staying in Coed y Brenin for a few days riding and haven ridden many of the trails at the center wanted to see what else was on offer. The day started with Steve meeting us at our accommodation before a nice little loop out to the far side of the national park which provided some great views and a steady warm up, we then looped back into the woods where things went from pretty views to epic off piste trails. We were treated to 6 very different decents, from fast lose more typical trail center decents to some of the steepest shoots i've ever had the joy of riding, the middle decent however was a real beauty! As we emerged from the trees and the safety of a confined section of single track we found ourselves on an epic skinny trail which traversed along a cliff to the valley below, to the left the view of the valley and no where to dab a foot and to the right a vertical wall of Welsh stone to avoid with your bars. This section wasn't for the faint hearted but once at the bottom instantly became a thing of legend! It even looked serious on the Gopro! Steve had checked before we set off what sort of ride we wanted and where he should pitch it in terms of severity. We had asked for a challenging ride and thats what we got. Given that Steve has been in the area for many years I do believe he can provide a ride to suit all abilities so if reading this sounds concerning just make sure you ask for a mellower experience. Steve is a great guide and a very accomplished rider (on a bloody hardtail) and I'd strongly urge anyone heading that way to venture past the way marked routes! It was also a total bargain!
