        5 years on and the Farmers Arms have new owners. Same great location, and levels of hospitality. Sadly the local cafe where AstroCampers would get their breakfasts has closed down. The new owners have stepped up and opened up earlier to serve breakfast to the AstroCampers. April 2023 Superb food, a great selection of beers to choose from. Despite being a Liverpool supporter, the host, Chris is cheerful, friendly and has a great chef in his kitchen. The Lumpy Bumpy's when in season are superb! Closed on a Monday, so check before you travel.

        Waited 95 minutes before the starters arrived - during this time 4 other tables (who all came after us), were served and ate two courses. Three of our party had steak, which they all enjoyed, my fish meal was really disappointing. The staff are extremely pleasant and friendly, but when you are treated shabbily, and the regular customers receive blatantly preferential treatment, that is "crossing the line". This is the only one Star review, that I have ever given. I would like to believe that this experience was an unfortunate "one off", however, I will never know!
