Needed a relaxing escape and totally found it. The garden was tranquil and I spent hours just watching the sky, listening to the wildlife and horses and relaxing in solitude. A pagoda to sit in comfort and shelter with the fountain trickling away quietly in the corner, garden in full foliage and we'll maintained. Laid out to be hidden away from view yet plenty of colour and wildlife in view. The hot tub was clean, the area we'll set out and well thought out with extremely clean changing rooms so no traipsing through the hotel if you didn't want to in hot tub clobber. Catered for dietary requirements without quibble, excellent produce used and pleasant dinning atmosphere. The room was exceptional, clean and again well thought out. Five star luxury, friendly welcome from Andy and he's out of sight but available as needed (I needed to be away from people lol).

As a party of four we arrived on Friday afternoon. After being met by Kate and Andy, we were given two amazing rooms/suites which were incredibly spotless and roomy. One had a separate sitting room and the other had a humongous separate bathroom. We had arranged for a meal at the mansion for us all, plus another couple on Friday night. This was presented and served absolutely beautifully. Kate and Andy did the catering, which was no mean feat as there were several different options chosen. We had 3 courses with wine and beer when requested, and everything was exceptional. Andy even took our guests home after the meal as they lived in the village. What a star!! Our breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday left no room for lunch. Cereal, toast, croissants, tea and coffee, not to mention a menu of cooked options ranging from eggs Benedict to a full Welsh breakfast (vegetarian option also available). We have stayed at the mansion before lockdown and will definitely return. Thank you to Kate and Andy for a fantastic weekend. Perfect hosts.
