        Playground: In full view of the cafe Dog-friendliness: Off lead dog walks in much of the park, dogs on leads in the arboretum, dogs welcome in cafe Picnic area: Lots of picnic benches with splendid views

        An absolutely brilliant cafe and great for walking the dog. The food is second to none in the area, a real treat to find somewhere so remote. Staff very friendly too.

        Cafe was closed despite the opening times suggesting it should be open although there were no visitors at the time and it was raining so no great surprise. The park is poorly maintained and steps were rotting so not very suitable for the infirm. Quite muddy in places - wear wellies!
