My husband and I Visited here for an evening meal with daughter, son in law and grandson, well what a let down. Ordered drinks, some not available and also ordered food. After waiting ages then having to ask how much longer as toddler was hungry, food eventually turned up. Husband and I both had the steak and ale pie, which should only have a pastry lid, well where do I start, if there were 3 pieces of small steak awash with gravy in pastry vase and top, absolutely disgusting as each meal was 14.95, so not worth the money. Son in law had lamb dinner, it was just about hot enough to eat but he ate it as was soooo hungry. Daughter had burger, asked for no salad but would have coleslaw, no coleslaw on plate. Didnt get chance to ask for it as her meal was thrust in front of her and waitress rushed off. Not one person came over to ask if everything was alright during our meal, we were finally asked after when the plate were removed but just got told well tell the kitchen!!!!! We asked for menus for desserts, these never materialised, so we decided to pay up and leave. Husband again complained about lack of meat in steak and ale pie but we were still charged in full. Absolutely disgusting, we wont be back. This used to be a fabulous pub with superb food, but its not anymore, avoid it if you want quality and also if you are short on time. Food & drinks: Dont bother, definitely NOT value for money.
