Needs to be stocked more regularly, especially because the pools are so small and fish soon become very wary due to angling pressure. I'm not a bad angler, but seem to struggle here and every time I've been, has been the case for the other anglers I've seen. Weed can be a big problem in the summer. I wouldn't recommend and won't be returning.

Having fished here since retiring in 2015 I can confidently recommend this fishery. The staff are friendly and helpful, the lakes are well maintained and there is good access to all five lakes. The fishing can be challenging at times, as on any fishery, but staff are happy to advise on successful patterns. The member rates are especially good value for catch and release which I prefer. Well worth a visit ! Just spent a memorable afternoon fishing a scarlet PTN, caught rainbows to 2lb across all five lakes. Several other anglers also did well. Weather was mild with cloud cover and a light breeze, fish moving on the surface and taking a few feet down. Just fished after the enforced shutdown, its nice to be back. The fishery has been well maintained and several people caught fish. Starting on Home pool caught a rainbow just over a pound on PTN, fish moving and rising regularly. Caught nice 2 pound blue on Farm using Hares ear, then lost one on Family with hares ear. Overall very enjoyable afternoon, light breeeze and cloud cover with some showers. Hope to be back soon tight lines ! November is a bleak time but fishing can be worth it. Caught two Tiger trout to 4Lb on a red buzzer on top pool fished deep and very slow . Fish were also showing on Farm and Home but were reluctant to take although had a few follows with Hares ear just sub surface. Dry fly also tried but no success. Will be back soon as the gales ease ! December was challenging with a few fish caught on egg flies, along with cats whiskers. I blanked twice this month but returned in January to be rewarded late afternoon with this beautiful 5 lb brownie from Home pool on a red/black hopper fished sub surface. What a start to 2022. Tight lines and stay safe. Late October and early November the fishing can be challenging but water levels are back to normal after the hot summer. Caught a nice brown on a spider and also a nice tiger on a beetle. Fishing small flies seems to work for me although lures stripped back can take fish.
