BETTER THAN HOME! Our journey to the beautiful Ty Barcud cottage at Blaencyswch Farm was after Storm Dudley and Eunice in February 2022. We arrived travel-weary and worn from dodging flying branches and fording the rivers that tumbled across the local roads, but the welcome was wonderful. A warm house, a lovely welcome basket, a basket of wood for the fire which was already laid, two lovely hosts and a plethora of fabulous things for the children to explore inside while we unpacked and planned our holiday. We investigated the extensive grounds and played hide and seek amongst the trees. Then Storm Franklin roared around us that night, but we were warm and snug with a fiery wood burner and a good dinner. The beds are comfortable and the cottage has all the amenities that you could possibly require: WiFi and television for the gadget gurus, wild and wonderful walks for the health conscious, shops within a 12 minute drive and tourist attractions all around. It is the best placed, most comfortable, beautiful home holiday that we have ever had.
