        Nearby activities: Plenty of great dog walks and beautiful scenery Safety: Private car park, superb of you have a dog, outside beer garden, off the road perfect Food & drinks: Food excellent, always fantastic real ales Landlord and landlady and all the staff are fantastic it's heaven

        Very cosy and friendly atmosphere, it was great to sit by roaring fire on a cold night. Richard, the landlord, keeps an excellent cellar and the draught beer was in perfect condition. My evening meal was delicious as was the breakfast. It wasn't my first visit and hopefully not the last. Lovely walk in nearby, small woodland alongside the river and very convenient for visit to the Llanfair and Welshpool Narrow Gauge Railway Station.
