Lovely traditionally furnished working farmhouse ideally positioned for exploring the North of the Island with North Stack RSPB nature reserve , National Trust reserves , Breakwater Country Park and 30 mins drive from Newborough Country Park and it's sandy beaches.
The farmhouse itself is quite remote and located on the outskirts of the nearest village and about 5 miles from Holyhead.
The accommodation we opted for was the en-suite twin bedded room , which was adequate and overlooking the fields which are occupied by cattle and sheep belonging to this very clean working farm.
The two twin beds from our perspective were rather soft although , this is not necessarily a negative point , but is down to personal preference.
The breakfasts were excellent with the fresh fruit salad being particularly delicious as was the full cooked Welsh breakfast and Joyce even cooked a couple of sausages for our dog , Freddie, due to my wife being a vegetarian and not being able to eat the sausage and back. on offer.
However , the options for my wife , as a vegetarian was rather limited and was offered only a combination of eggs , mushrooms , tomato plus toast etc, whereas ideally it would have been good if there had been more choice for non meat eaters for their cooked breakfast.
Would fully recommend other than the very soft beds and limited menu choice for vegetarians for the cooked breakfast.
Great welcomjng full bodied coffee served in a cafetiere each morning though and plenty of toast was on offer to supplement the homemade jam and marmalade.
