Absolutely disgraceful conduct by a Toyota garage, conning my grandmother into spending roughly 170+ on a replacement plastic cover that literally clips onto the wing mirror (after she damaged it on a hedge to avoid a pothole). Utter rip off merchants. Avoid I've sourced the part from somewhere else for a whopping 21 delivered. vs the 48.48 price quoted. On top of that, the additional 28 indicator lens is not needing to be replaced and they are just seeking a way to add to an already ridiculously large bill for plastics. 50 to spray one mirror no doubt due to min paint quantities etc etc. Pure overkill for what is a plastic cover that clips on in 2 seconds. They clearly saw an elderly woman coming who knows nothing about vehicles or vehicle repair costs and decided to take full advantage. Not the first time either. On top of this, after I sourced the part for her, they decided to bully her over the phone in committing and paying for this ridiculous and criminally expensive repair. Disgusting. There is no obligation to pay for anything as its not on the car. Toyota - You can con someone else and flog it to them if anyone else is stupid enough to pay you 170+ to replace a plastic wing mirror cover. Cherry on the cake: Her rear brakes are currently ineffective, despite having had her Yaris serviced here multiple times. the pads are not contacting the disc. Clearly the goal of this garage is to charge maximum for the unimportant whilst neglecting actually mechanically important items.
