The receptionist Julie was very rude.. I was in terrible pain and she thought it was not an emergency. Please do not share your illness with her. Talk to the doctor

I can only strongly agree with every single negative comment on here. The most rude, arrogant and unsympathetic receptionists I have ever encountered. Firstly, when did it become the job of a receptionist to diagnose your symptoms on the phone and then decide whether you are worthy enough to see a Doctor or not. Secondly, why do they have to talk loud enough, repeating your symptoms loudly together with your name, so that everyone in the Surgery knows who you are and what's wrong with you! What happened to patient confidentiality? I have so many negative experiences, but just 2 concerning my wife that sums up this surgery. My wife had Menopause issues and wanted to go back on HRT, the comment from the Doctor (by phone consultation as they wouldn't give her an Appointment to visit) was what did she expect, she is 60 and will just have to put up with it! Final straw this morning, my wife has a large lump on the side of her knee, rang the Surgery to be immediately told by the Receptionist (without asking any basic questions) to self-refer herself for physio. I am so angry and only gave a review score of 1 star as there is not an option for Zero

Very concerning. I visited the surgery and, thankfully, saw a dispensing pharmacist, who actually cared about my health. In my opinion, the Drs are self-absorbed and are not interested in their patients as they appear to have pre-empted what they think is wrong with you. They appear to be disinterested in your explanation of your health concerns. The pharmacist booked me in to the COPD clinic the surgery for the 30th of this month . Unfortunately, I was recently ambulanced to the local Hospital, diagnosed with COPD and my treatment is in their hands. Therefore, I felt I needed to cancel my appointment, as a matter of courtesy, I felt honour bound to contact the Surgery. I needn't have bothered, as there was no record of my appointment at the surgery. This is very concerning to me, as I was relying on this appointment, due my health becoming more debilitating. In a way I was lucky that my health did take a nose dive and the hospital treated me. Otherwise, I would have turned up at the surgery on the 30th, presumably been turned away, with my health becoming considerably worse. Having, yet again to wait for another appointment. I do not appreciate the inefficiency shown, especially as I believe, health is wealth. I am seriously considering leaving this practice, as this is not the first time I have had problem with my health care from here. I have only stayed, in the main, because Denise, the Nurse, is still here and she is part of the old understanding regime.
