Seems I'm not the first person to have this problem. Saw a table I liked as I was leaving town. Rang the shop and asked to buy it, the lady said she would put it away for collection the next day. I drove from Swansea to collect it the following afternoon to be told it had been sold . Very disappointed

Drive today from Swansea to Llanelli charity shop to pick up a table that they guaranteed they had saved for me over the phone yesterday. I spent all day moving my house around and had my brother drive me as i don't drive. They knew i was coming and that it was saved for me. When i got there the lady at the counter told me she sold it to someone else. Told her i was the one who reserved it over the phone, she said despite it being saved for me someone walked in today and bought it. She shrugged, and said 'i know', despite being the one who insisted it was saved for me. Devastated. Took a whole day to arrange things for it and had to ask my brother to drive me.
