St Davids Hotel

Booked through booking.com, unfortunately on the day of our booking my wife was showing symptoms of COVID. I Contacted the hotel first thing and spoke to Jan, she advised us to take a test to avoid losing our payment, we all went on to test negative - but at this point it was the back end of our break and my wife was feeling pretty rubbish, I explained this to Jan and honestly this is no exaggeration but other than giving my wife a COVID test Jan couldnt have been anymore helpful. Understandably it was too late in the day to cancel the booking through booking.com! Jan was sympathetic to our situation and explained she pays a percentage towards the booking which she wont get back, then proceeded to offer us another stay in its place within the next 3 or so months. As we only live an hour or so away, weve now planned a long weekend away in Llandudno. It is my understanding Jan was putting other guests safety before getting a room filled as the home tests are not 100% accurate. Honestly for a B&B of its size filling rooms should be essential but Jan and her husbands service is nothing short of what youd expect in a top hotel chain. Well done St Davids Hotel we look forward to our stay in the near future.
