I stayed for four nights in room 5 (a superior double/twin room), which is situated at the front of the Guest House, on the first floor, overlooking the road. Hosts: friendly, caring, attentive, and welcoming. Bed: covered with a mattress protector. The mattress was very clean and comfortable. Main room features: large, quality wardrobe with plenty of coat hangers, mini fridge, tea/coffee/chocolate facilities, beside lamps, desk (with drawers) and chair, bedside cabinets, table and soft chairs, and a large vertical radiator. The room was very clean with no bad odours. Carpet: clean and almost spotless. Shower room: well stocked, spotlessly clean and always enough hot water with sufficient power from the shower. Though there is no window or extractor fan, there was no evidence of mould. Ironing facilities: there is an ironing board and iron on the second floor. Worked well for me. Honesty bar: reasonably well-stocked bar with plenty of seats housing a good quality (medium-paced) pool table and darts board (with darts). Breakfast: very good choice of food and drink (cereals, meats, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, tea, coffee, and orange juice). Breakfast was good quality, well cooked, and very satisfying. So, are there any bad points? Only one and it's very minor. Though the road is rarely busy, the single-paned sash window provides little protection from the noise of seagulls. But, you know, Llandudno is a seaside town...with seagulls :) I've stayed in many Guest Houses (about 50), for business and pleasure; the Glascoed Guest House is one of the best.
