        When the tide goes out at Llandudno's West Shore beach it exposes huge expanses of sand, which tempts people to stroll out well away from the shore. The problem is that there's a channel which very rapidly fills with water as the tide starts to come in and every year people become stranded by this. The National Coastwatch team are there to keep a watch for people in such circumstances and are able to call out the lifeboat to carry out rescues when required (which happens every year). I don't understand why Google have illustrated this place with photos of the Great Orme though as the Coastwatch caravan is located on Dale Road car park so is nowhere near to the Orme???
