Went beyond our expectations. Each morning the sun comes up over the hills and you hear the stream, birds and sheep. Our four year old absolutely loved it. She could play safely by the cottage running in the fields. She was so happy to walk to say hello to the sheep each morning and take her net to the stream. Thanks to Margot for the Treasure hunt we had a great Saturday morning after breakfast following the clues. For us as parents it was relaxing and even when it did rain the cottage was big enough for our daughter to play and there are toys available for children in the toy box. It is very warm if you set the log fire to low and stays warm all night. I would say there's no reason to go anywhere else if you're staying for a few nights like we did. So much space to walk around. Anthony and Margot are very knowledgeable of the local area and pleasant to chat with. We would definitely return as this is just what we like for a short break.
