Looking forward to staying at this nursing home in the near future due to bad health issues, I've heard nothing but good things about this nursing home from top management to highly trained staff who give 100% in what care they give and it's in lovely settings

I attend this care home regularly to do the residents hair and just sit and chat with them. I have to say, the food is amazing and all cooked fresh. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond to ensure the residents are happy and well cared for. The owner (Scott) is always looking for ways to improve theyre services and entertainment for the residents. And ensure theyre stay is as happy and stimulating as possible for them. One of the nicest care homes Ive been too. All the residents say they are very happy there too. So big thumbs up from me

Dear Scott and all the staff , Thank you doesnt seem to be a big enough phrase to express our sincere thanks for the care dad received while residing with you from March to October this year. Dad came directly to the Priory from Nevill Hall hospital during the early peak of the pandemic. We were given no choice as to where dad was placed and we were at the time concerned, we couldnt even visit the home to check it out before dad was discharged. It was a worrying time for us all.... but we neednt have worried at all because dad was in safe hands. Dad was made so welcome at the Priory and even with his confusion, when we were able to talk on the phone in the early weeks of his stay he would tell us he was doing fine, food was excellent (which was dads love) and the nurses looking after him were kind and friendly. He loved his room and the wonderful view across the valley... told us it was like a hotel! We frequently phoned to ask about dad and were always impressed by how the calls were answered and information shared with us. We worried we were being a nuisance when we rang but were always reassured calls were welcome and staff were always helpful in giving us an update; we always felt well informed. We were lucky enough to visit dad on three occasions over the summer months during the lock down period. During these visits he was very confused but very chatty. He told us wanted to marry one of the nurses and asked was that okay with us... it turned out he wanted to marry more than one, both Sarah and Tina were mentioned! We clearly saw the respectful, warm and caring nature of the staff as they interacted with him on our visits. Dad had always been clean shaven but while at the Priory he grew a goatee beard and he loved it. He loved the fuss the staff made when having his head shaved and beard trimmed. Sadly over the last two months dad deteriorated to a point where it became clear he was reaching the end of his long life and Leigh contacted us to say we could visit on dads birthday and we made arrangements for that visit. Unfortunately dads condition deteriorated much quicker than expected and two days before dads birthday we were contacted by Loraine and offered the opportunity to come and see dad immediately. We are extremely grateful for that opportunity to spend time with dad. My brother and dads two grandchildren together with us spend time with dad on the Friday evening for which we are so grateful. We then returned on the Saturday and were allowed to sit with dad until he passed away early Saturday evening. Lorraine, Tina, Sue and (nurse whose name I cant remember.. sorry) were absolutely wonderful with dad and us. The care and compassion shown to dad and us during the last 24 hours of dads life were to us a small window to experience the wonderful caring environment dad lived in during the last 6 months of his life. We believe dad was extremely lucky to have been placed with you and we will be forever grateful for the care you all provided for him. Sincere thanks, Jan and John Jan and John Parfitt
