We visited both the National Trust House/Hall and the Castle. The house isn't huge but it is lovely to see. It's a free to roam tour and a cafe inside and outside seating. The castle is on the same Estate, at the top of a pretty steep climb but well worth it. Slow and steady. You can walk the castle walls and see the spectacular views. We had a beautiful weather day and saw for miles all around. The walk through the deer park and boardwalk was so peaceful (late in the day) the birds were enjoying the evening sun too. We didn't see any deer sadly but there were hoof marks all over. A bonus was the first Bluebells opening I've seen this year. Plenty of toilets and other estate walks too.
