Waundwrgi Luxury Holiday Cottage Pembrokeshire

It is a truly beautiful location, and cottage, but unfortunately the cottage heavily features style over practicality. Once off the dual carriageway the track to the cottage is very narrow and very bumpy, I'm glad we went through it in daylight for the first time, as it was rather scary in the dark. There was a wonderful welcome hamper awaiting us, if not much communication with the owners, until after we had worked everything out ourselves. There are no cupboards in the kitchen at all. No where to put cupboard food, especially when you are there for a week, but don't worry, there is no worktop space to prepare meals either! All cutlery and plates have to live in the dining area. It may seem daft, but when you've got kids and dogs, somewhere to store (and hide) food and treats and room to prepare/make dinner or even sandwiches is essential. There's a beautiful designer sink, but only a few inches deep and no plug, hence there is a washing up bowl that is oo small for washing the cooking pans. We packed and cleaned before departure, but were unable to find anyone, or raise them by phone to say we were leaving. We do hope the owners were satisfied with how we left the property. Don't get me wrong, we did have a lovely holiday, but we would seriously think twice before spending that much money for a week's rent again on this property.
