My Review Pale Wood Caravan Park. This is a very tranquil park so if its peace and quiet you want then this could be the place for you to lose your hard earned money, your pension, life savings. We bought a static at approx 17,500 and was told we had to put decking on that was in keeping with the park at a cost of 3,500, I put double glazing in at approx 2,000 so altogether a grand total of 23,000. What I did not know and have recently found out is that the park charge 20%+20% vat commission on agency sales so when I decided to move to a lodge on the park we were offered 14,000 for the static, a loss of 9,000. We decided to go ahead with the intention of staying on the park and making the lodge our getaway place. We bought the Lodge at a cost of 45,000 in Aug 2019 and things were ok apart from the boiler not working properly, the park engineer fixed it three times but on each occasion the boiler was the same so for 3 years we have put up with it. On one occasion I was told to take the wiring off a sensor and make the connection with a paper clip, this I did not do. In the October the rains came and water was flooding into the lodge, as a temporary measure I had to cover with plastic and baton down. We went to the park inbetween lockdown dates and replaced the roof costing approx 3,500, decking another 3,000 and completely decorate and replace damaged items, all in all not a very good experience. Now then apart from all that is the constant bickering by the park team who complain about dogs barking(dog friendly park this), children playing, things not being in keeping with park, rules like hanging towels out, the final straw being when the manager told the grand children to get off thier little plastic scooters, a 4year and 2year old (under supervision) on there way to sign the visitors book. On this occasion we decided to sell and get off the park, the lodge has been sold for 40,000 less commission at 9,600 less gas and elec 160.00 and finally 500.00 for a dodgy boiler to be repaired by a dodgy engineer. Do not trust these money grabbing individuals who will take as much money as they can. When I asked for my gas safety certificate in May which I paid for in January 2022 they were unable to provide it, I got a local engineer who did the gas check for me at a lower cost YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED Very good owners reply but believe me the park is regimental, I witnessed the manager shouting at a visitor because he was in a VW day van and basically he was kicked off the park and told to park elsewhere. The owner and family that he was visiting I have not seen on the park since. Rules are rules was the reason.

We have stayed at Pale Wood over the summer several times in our parent's caravan and we absolutely love this place! Michelle the manager and the team were always helpful. we love taking the children to explore in the woods and they love the play park in the village. John and I are now saving for our own, to continue making memories with our family.

Just had a stay at Pale wood and we found it very peaceful and relaxing, grounds were immaculate, and the wildlife on your doorstep was fabulous, very dog friendly with nice woodland walks which is great, in a great location with Bala not to far away. Michelle and Brian the managers are friendly and helpful and always happy to stop and chat, especially Michelle whilst walking Nexus the springer.
