Mountain Independence

My mate and I had Stu on a learn to lead course for 5 days. Excellent, experienced instructor that was super chilled and got us doing some decent climbing in sunny snowdonia.

Stu took us out for a days climbing and scrambling on the Idwal slabs. We had a fantastic time - Stu clearly has a wealth of experience and skill but also a laid back and friendly style. We felt v safe throughout even though trying multi-pitch climbing for the first time. We got a lot out of the day and hope well have the chance in the future to go out climbing with Stu again. My day climbing with Stu was great, exactly what i needed, really useful and confidence-building! Stu explains things clearly and thoroughly and made it fun despite some less than ideal weather!

Such a fantastic experience completing both my training and assessment with Stu from Mountain Independence. He is a really supportive and knowledgable person who is really thorough with his explanations and always gives the time to answer any questions. The experience was so enjoyable, I learnt so much and could really feel the quality of both the training and the assessment. Thank you so much for everything!
