Bargoed Farm Caravan and Camping Park

Just arrived home after a week spent at this fantastic site. Only started touring last year, this being our fifth trip and have to say the bar is now set very high. The site is clean and well managed with excellent facilities, shop, cafe, children's play area and restaurant and a newly opening tapas bar, the staff are helpful and friendly. The lovely couple who own this have a vision and are making it happen. It's quite a story and you can follow them on Facebook. Travelled round the area a bit too and its beautiful, we will be back.

I first stayed here about 5 years ago when it was in its very early stages of development. We thought the idea of a private hot tub on a camp pitch was genius. I originally gave it 3 stars as the toilet block hadn't been built, and the road around the campsite was very mucky. The onsite Moody Cow restaurant was good but not great. My most recent stay was an easy 5 It has been improved greatly with an addition of The Moody Calf play barn, a new toilet block, a tarmac road around the site, the amazing, locally sourced food at the restaurant, additional hot tubs and a well stocked farm shop. It's family run, and they have worked so hard to improve it. Their new project is the Moo-tel and is looking amazing already. They deserve the extra stars. Food & drinks: The Moody Cow restaurant is always worth a visit.

Beautiful well served pitch with hot tub , friendly helpful staff , location is fabulous, you can hike into New Quay and get a bus back if you don't fancy driving , couldn't recommend the coastal path enough, absolutely breath taking . The moody cow restaurant looks amazing, we didn't eat there but had a couple of drinks . Shower block and facilities are spotless , lovely hot showers with plenty of room , it's our second visit here and will definitely stay again and save room for a nice dinner in the moody cow

Just returned from Bargoed after a fabulous 4 day break with friends . Pitch 1 with hottub over looking the Lake. All I can say is ....amazing ! What a site . Facilities are great . Ate in Bistro on site ..staff and food amazing . Big shout out to Will . The 6 of us had such a great evening ..Good food, company and lots of laughs . Will definitely be back
