One of the best campsites ever! We have travelled all over the world in our van and this is definitely one of our favourite places. We've been for the past two years and we've enjoyed it so much, the owners, setting, location, and food are just perfect. Sadly we won't be coming again this year as they are no longer dog friendly :( Completely understand why as people weren't obeying the rules - you minority people suck!! Hopefully, this will be reconsidered soon to maybe just one part of the site?! We would love to come back but hate camping without our pooch!

Bert's - what a great place. We were there at the end of July during the hottest time on record in the UK. And we enjoyed it! The place is really cool and you can spend few days unwinding just by being there, walking around, finding new nice spots, enjoying a cool or hot drink in the kitchen garden or following the signs to the beach. The space for our motorhome in the wood lands was extra spacious and even with two other vans next to you, you feel almost alone. Calm and sheltered. The shade was nice against the scorching sun but killed a bit of the solar energy. Anyway if needed we could charge our little power station in the common room next to the restaurant where you also get free coffee and tea and some space in the fridges. The kitchen garden & restaurant is a little heaven, nice drinks to enjoy the sunset even more, the pizza comes fresh out of the oven and is as tasty as the other dishes we tried from the menu. Only downer was going from the little gem in Wales to another campsite near Exmouth. Too noisy and crowded and it took us a while to get used to this environment again. Go to Bert and enjoy.

Wonderful location and great facilities. Honestly couldn't believe the weather we had and the access around the coast on the water to explore. Was a properly brilliant time in peaceful location. One thing we thought was very odd, was upon arrival we were informed that "we don't normally accept group bookings, but we're not going to turn you away just now...". Well, I thought, that's confusing. We booked as a group of six with a member of staff months previous and at no point along the process, on the phone or online, were we made aware of such rules. Apart from this, the owner was more than welcoming. Our friends managed to rent kayaks and SUPs for the day. I've also never-ever had a hotter or better shower on a campsite in my life. It's also worth the short walk to use the flushing toilets versus the composting / pee-bale... or better yet, your own porta! The bar on-site was confusing. Closes at 930, unbeknownst to us, but we were turned away at 915 for one. A shame! As we couldn't get booked in at the restaurant either during our visit - best to plan ahead. Once you've cooked through your camping supplies, you have a bit of a drive to any pub doing food (or a longer walk to a Londis for some more supplies). Definitely recommend the site and we'll no doubt return again.
