Gwaun Valley Meats

Ordered fresh meat for delivery on 23rd March 23 (ie today). No meat, no explanation no contact! This was a first order but I will never use them again. Not only no meat but so much hassle to get my money back and so on. This has really put me out. The meat was despatched yesterday for delivery today. I am not accepting fresh meat which has been delayed (if indeed it turns up at all!!) This is not acceptable, neither is it acceptable to have no contact or explanation either from the courier or from Gwaun Meats. Update: Gwaun got in touch today and offered a full refund. I have upped the stars to 3 as they told me the courier had not told them that the meat had not been delivered. The courier seemed to be APC who are usually very good, but they seem to have passed the package to "Dash". Suggest if you want to use Gwaun that you check who is delivering and if it will be properly tracked.

Excellent old fashioned butchers. Great quality meat, large variety of hand made pies, both frozen and fresh, large selection of chutneys and pickles, smaller but no less delicious selection of cakes and pastries. Also stocks Morfa milk! Fabulous friendly and knowledgeable butcher. Also, the local post office is on site, in store. Great service for both butchers and post office. Buy local, spend local - cost wise it works out the same as buying supermarket meat, with less packaging and much better quality meat! Support your local shops.
