Shamelessly let down for big family weekend: no oil no heating, no hot water. I called in the afternoon of Wednesday 20 February 2019 and was assured that a delivery of 1,000 litres would be made to me on Friday 22 February 2019. I paid in full by credit card over the phone. I emphasised the importance of this because I had my family coming for the weekend and I had no oil (due to building work). I got home at 4pm on Friday 22 February 2019 and my builder told me that no oil delivery had been made. I called Oil4Wales again and was told that they were still delivering and they would call the driver and get back to me with a delivery time. I emphasised how important it was to get the oil delivered that day, as agreed at the time of sale, because I had a full house, ranging from babies to elderly grandparents and no hot water nor heating till their delivery arrived. 30 minutes later (at 4:30 pm on a Friday afternoon) I got a call telling me that I would not be getting my delivery till Monday 25 February 2019, because Oil4Wales in Newtown had notprocessed my delivery that morning. I asked why no one had contacted me all day to inform me and what would have happened if I had not called them at 4pm? Clearly, I would have simply received no oil and no one would gave answered when I called later that evening, had I got back home after 5 pm. Oil4Wales agreed as an integral part of my sales contract with them to supply me on Friday 22 February 2019. They did not supply, and what made it all so very much terribly worse was that they did not even have the common courtesy to let me know, even though they had known since early that morning they would not deliver to me. Had I not chased them at 4pm on the Friday, I would still now (Sunday evening) not have known what was happening and why I still had no oil or if it was ever coming. My important family reunion this weekend has been ruined, with us all being split up amongst friends and B&B. What a shamelessly disgraceful excuse for a company Oil4Wales are. If I had the time and money I would persue them through the law for their breach of contract and abhorant lack of customer care, or even the slightest humane decency to fellow human beings whose big weekend they have totally destroyed. I despise this company and especially the people in it responsible for this worse than shabby and totally selfish, uncaring treatment that has wrecked our special occasion. I can only hope that all involved get their just desserts for this one way or another, and preferably sooner rather than later.
